Welcome to the Administrative Law Section's Website!

Welcome to the Florida Bar Administrative Law Section online resource center. I am honored to serve as the chair of our Section and am happy to answer any questions you may have about membership, our organization and the tools we offer on our website.

To give a snapshot of the Administrative Law Section, we are a subsection within the Florida Bar that exists for discussion forums and ideas exchanges to help improve and develop the fields of administrative law, the procedure practice and the agency practice. We are currently comprised of over 1,100 attorneys and judges who are admitted to practice local, state, and federal administrative law, as well as legal professors in the area.

We are open to all members in good standing who have an interest in administrative law and procedure at both the state and federal levels. We also welcome law students to join our Section.

The Administrative Law Section is continually growing, and I personally invite attorneys in the Florida administrative law practice who aren't yet members to contact me with any membership inquiries, as we more than welcome your interest in joining.

The benefits of Administrative Law Section membership are as follows:

  1. Reduced tuition at high quality continuing legal education courses
  2. Four newsletters a year which include summaries of recent state appellate administrative law cases, DOAH cases, articles of interest to administrative practitioners, and announcements
  3. Legislative updates
  4. Invitations to meetings and other events
  5. The opportunity to network with colleagues across the state

I'd like to thank our Section’s current members for your time and participation in continually helping to evolve and improve the administrative legal practice in Florida. Also, I please ask you to ensure you renew your membership for this upcoming term. For new members, once you join our Section, we strongly recommend getting involved by attending an Executive Council meeting, serving on a committee or submitting an article for publication in the Section Newsletter or the Florida Bar Journal.

Again, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. I look forward to serving you as Chair during this 2017-18 term.
